Tigris, adını hem “kaplan” anlamına gelen Latince kökünden hem de Dicle Nehri’nin tarihsel adından alır. Bu iki anlam, sehpanın tasarımında buluşur.
Üst yüzeyindeki damlacıklı cam, suyun akışını ve doğal oluşumlarını hatırlatır. Camın içinde donmuş gibi görünen her damla, nehrin durduğu anlardan birini yansıtır. Alt bölümde kullanılan bronz tonları, kaplangözü taşının sıcaklığını ve ışıkla değişen yapısını çağrıştırır.
